UPSC Civil Service Exam How to Apply Online

UPSC Civil Service Exam aspirants are required to apply online using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions on how to apply online for the UPSC civil service exam are available on the above-mentioned website.

Things candidates need to keep in mind if she/he is planning to apply online for Union Public Service Commission civil service exam.

1 One time application submission: The aspirants are advised to submit only single time application.

  • If due to any unavoidable situation, if a candidate submits another or multiple applications, then the aspirant must ensure that application with the higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in every respect such as applicants’ details, photographs, examination centers, signature, fee, etc.
  • The candidate who is submitting another or multiple applications should note that only the applications with higher RID shall be considered by the UPSC and fee paid against one RID can not be adjusted against any other RID.

All aspirants, Government owned industrial undertakings, whether already in Government Service, other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications direct to the UPSC.

3 Aspirants already in Government Service, whether in temporary or a permanent service or those serving under the Public Enterprises or as work charged employees other than casual or daily rated employees, etc are, however, required to submitting an undertaking that they have informed in writing their Head of Office or Department or Boss that they have applied for the UPSC Civil Service Exam.

Aspirants should note that in case a communication is received from their employer or Head of Office or Department or Boss by the UPSC Commission withholding permission to the Aspirants applying for or appearing at the examination, their application will be liable to be rejected or candidature will be liable to be canceled of that UPSC aspirant.
